TOKYO, April 23, 2026 - VicOne, an automotive cybersecurity company, will exhibit at Automotive Engineering Exposition 2026 YOKOHAMA (May 27–29, PACIFICO Yokohama). VicOne will showcase its full portfolio of vehicle cybersecurity solutions at booth N86 in the North Hall and participate in two speaking sessions addressing the surge in attacks on in-vehicle systems and the development of next-generation automotive cybersecurity talent.
Automotive cybersecurity incidents surged in 2025. According to VicOne's Automotive Cybersecurity Report 2026(published March 2026), 610 incidents were recorded globally — nearly 3x the previous year's total. Attacks expanded beyond traditional entry points to target in-vehicle systems and EV charging infrastructure, reflecting the risks that emerge as the industry shifts from conventional internal combustion engine vehicles to software-defined vehicles (SDVs) built on connected architectures and AI.
Automotive Engineering Exposition, organized by the Society of Automotive Engineers of Japan (JSAE), is one of Japan's largest exhibitions dedicated to automotive technology. More than 600 exhibitors from Japan and overseas will gather to present the latest technologies and products supporting next-generation mobility.
Through its exhibition and presentations, VicOne will introduce practical security approaches that address these industry changes, along with a comprehensive portfolio of solutions spanning design and development through operations.
The VicOne booth will also feature a live demonstration developed through technical collaboration with Intellias Mobility. The demonstration runs QNX on a Qualcomm SoC and deploys VicOne's in-vehicle intrusion detection and prevention system, xCarbon, within that QNX environment. Using actual hardware, VicOne will demonstrate the feasibility of developing in-vehicle products with embedded security for Qualcomm SoC and QNX environments — both widely adopted as automotive platforms.
Automotive Engineering Exposition 2026 YOKOHAMA runs Wednesday, May 27 through Friday, May 29, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily at PACIFICO Yokohama (Exhibition Hall and North Hall). VicOne will be located at booth N86 in the North Hall. The exposition is organized by the Society of Automotive Engineers of Japan, Inc. Admission is free, with advance registration required. Full event details are available at aee.expo-info.jsae.or.jp.
Key Exhibits at the VicOne Booth
VicOne will present its full automotive cybersecurity portfolio at booth N86, covering the vehicle lifecycle from development through operations.
- xZETA is VicOne's SBOM and vulnerability management tool. It scans vehicle software to generate a comprehensive software bill of materials and identify vulnerabilities, including zero-day and undisclosed threats, helping OEM and supplier development teams manage software supply chain risk.
- xPhinx is VicOne's security solution for in-vehicle edge AI. It secures edge AI systems in real time and can be deployed without retraining or modifying existing AI models, making it suited for OEMs integrating AI into SDV architectures.
- xAurient is VicOne's vehicle cyberthreat intelligence platform. It maps attack paths and delivers threat intelligence with context on how threats emerge across vehicle systems, designed for OEM and Tier 1 supplier security and development teams.
- xCarbon is VicOne's in-vehicle intrusion detection and prevention system (IDPS). A lightweight, multiplatform solution, xCarbon protects critical in-vehicle ECUs from cyberattacks and is deployable across a range of automotive hardware environments.
- xNexus is VicOne's vehicle security operations center (VSOC) platform. It provides threat visibility across vehicle fleets and guides VSOC teams and OEM security operations toward appropriate response actions.
- xScope and TARA services round out VicOne's offering with penetration testing and threat analysis and risk assessment (TARA) support, built on VicOne expertise and collaboration with partners including Block Harbor.

Presentation title: A New Phase in In-Vehicle Security: Threats and Manufacturer Responsibilities During the "Overlap Era" of Converging Hardware and Software
The automotive industry has entered what VicOne calls the "overlap era" — a period in which conventional internal combustion engine vehicles and next-generation software-defined vehicles coexist on the same roads and share the same infrastructure. This session will examine the attacks on in-vehicle systems and EV charging infrastructure that surged in 2025, as well as emerging risks from the misuse of AI. It will also address the importance of a dynamic risk management framework that enables organizations to respond rapidly to an increasingly complex threat landscape.
Forum YOKOHAMA 2026
Forum YOKOHAMA 2026, organized by the Society of Automotive Engineers of Japan, presents the latest developments and future outlook for automotive technology. It takes place at the same venue as Automotive Engineering Exposition 2026 YOKOHAMA. Akinobu Oda, Japan Country Manager at VicOne Corporation, will speak on Friday, May 29, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in session [26-Y7] "The Front Line of Automotive Cybersecurity," held at Annex Hall F203, 2F, PACIFICO Yokohama. Admission is free; advance reservation is required when registering to attend the exhibition. Full details are available at aee.expo-info.jsae.or.jp.
Presentation title: VCC2026: An Initiative to Develop Automotive Cybersecurity Talent
This session introduces the Vehicle Cybersecurity Competition (VCC), VicOne's hands-on automotive cybersecurity competition. VicOne designed VCC to raise cybersecurity standards across the automotive industry by developing engineers' practical capabilities and building a strong professional community.
With automotive cybersecurity incidents nearly tripling in 2025, the need for practical, deployable security across the vehicle lifecycle has never been more urgent. Through its presence at Automotive Engineering Exposition 2026 YOKOHAMA — spanning exhibit demonstrations, speaking sessions, and the VCC talent initiative — VicOne, an automotive cybersecurity company, will continue to help OEMs and suppliers detect, assess, and mitigate cyber risks as the industry navigates the transition to software-defined vehicles.
